Mom's list

Below is a list of activities and games I've though of/ read of/ seen, which moms can do with kids. While taking up some time in an interminably long day is part of it, these things may even inspire creativity and imagination, or stimulate intellectual/emotional development and offer energy release leading to a good night’s sleep!

Things to do outdoors-

Draw with chalk on the pathway/stairs

Explore objects frozen in ice

Get artistic with shaving cream

Play basketball with a laundry basket

Enjoy a teddy bear picnic

Good ol’ catchers

In the Kitchen-

Cut sandwich shapes with dough/cookie cutters

Decorate rice cakes with cream cheese and raisins

Drum up a kitchen band

General-

Stick and find stickers on body parts

Stack blocks

Draw a car track on large paper/cardboard

Lace paper plates through punched holes

Make puppets by drawing on glove or sewing on sock

Play "Mr postman"- shoebox with openings and cardboard pieces

Those are the ideas so far, maybe other moms or creative thinkers can add to the list
