Reaching milestones and pebbles
Our 3 year anniversary dinner date was postponed from Thursday to Saturday due to all round illness and lack of enthusiasm. By Saturday, also known as “The Day Son Rolled”, we were feeling much better. We dropped a sleeping Son off at his grandparents and off I was whisked to a secret dinner destination. After a slight drive out of our immediate neighborhood (how daring!), and lots of guessing on my part, I was most pleased to find myself seated on the terrace at Il Maurice; one of Durban’s finest restaurants that also happens to share the theme of our once Honeymoon destination. We wined and dined, and you know what Son did? Slept. The whole time! Unbelievable. Even later, after his 10:30 feed, as the rich dinner played havoc with my dreamscape, Son slept, waking only at 1,3 and 6, which is a major improvement let me tell you! This morning, also known as “The Morning Son Drank From a Bottle”, we had a visit from the cousins. Cousin Illy spent most of the time on his tummy putting grass and leaves in his mouth, which terrified his mom, but not as much as Hannah did who was running up and down stairs and slopes throwing garden pebbles. Managed to get them all to sit for a brief moment so I could take this picture:
