The hobbyist

Though my stamp collecting phase was short lived it certainly could have been read as a sign of what was to come. With my knitting needles midway though a row of what will be a headband, my decoupage kit ready for sticking and varnishing collected theatre flyers (another hobby perhaps) onto the guest-bathroom door, my third oil on canvas sitting on an easel poised for my next creative spurt and mother-in-law-to-be’s Elna sewing machine now mine, all serviced and ready to facilitate my fashionista phase, it is clear: I am a hobbyist.
