Baby M loves her mobile. Mobiles were totally ineffective during Son's infancy. We had such a cheapo one that you had to wind it up every 50 seconds or so but that wasn't actually such a problem 'cause Son would hardly lie in one place that long anyway. Baby M, on the other hand, can enjoy her fancy Bach/Mozart/Chopin mobile for sometimes the full 20 minutes that it runs. Thanks Jen Katz! Jen is my sister's mom-in-law. The gift she bought us for Son's birth is also really coming into its own this time round. Baby M is delighted by that musical swing like nobodies business!
What is Son interested in? He's big into jazz at the moment. "Miles Jazz" in particular (Miles Davis) though he doesn't mind a little Allen Toussaint and Harry Conick Jr. He also loves putting all of his matchbox cars in a line on the floor ("car line! car line!") and building double-decker garages out of Lego.
They are so sweet
