We adopted three types of Malawian Cichlids (pronounced “sick-lids”): Elongatus, Nimbochromis Venustus and orange blotch something.

We brought home two of each.

She unfortunately didn’t make it through the night. Rob said we might have been given a dud but I suspect foul play. Black Elongatus showed signs from the start of being territorial and aggressive. In all his bullying he has alienated the other fishees and may even have eliminated the pale little one who was the closest relative he had in the tank. I shudder to think how well the new batch will fare when introduced this weekend.
