Turning 60 gracefully is an art my mother unwittingly perfected. She's an artist, after all, with music and an appreciation for aesthetics imbedded in her genetic coding. So much of her coding has been passed on to me, the nurturing, sensitive, spiritual awareness is basically copy-pasted, but the musicality slid right past me, hopefully just skipping a generation to land with my progeny.
If aging gracefully is in the genes, I hope I'm wearing them! How wonderful to reach 60 and have so many amazing relationships with family and friends, to be able to learn new things, travel, read great novels, enjoy the latest technology and look so good doing it!
So here's to my beautiful mom- Le'chaim and happy birthday!
And here's to my dad who said such beautiful words at the luncheon on Tuesday and who spoiled us with an amazing trip to Sun City so we could all celebrate this milestone together.
You guys are truly awesome individually and collectively.
And lastly, here is a link to a few articles on turning 60. Good ones to read on your iPad Mini, mum.
