Who writes the news

On Monday, Israeli ships stopped a flotilla carrying materials that could be used for war, including cement that could be used to build bunkers, to Hamas-ruled Gaza.

The line above comes from CNN.com. It's rare to see articles that aren't simply spewing anti-Israel propaganda. For the most part, the world media refuses to show the truth. Stories of the attack on "innocent aid carriers" are constantly fed to the people. What about the fact that Hamas terrorists, who overthrew the legitimate Palestinian leadership, continue to attack Israel from Gaza. How can Israel allow them to be handed more weapons and ammunition from countries who want to see Israel wiped off the map?

Wouldn't South Africa do the same if missiles were being launched from one of our neighbouring countries? And if ships heading to that attacking country had deliberately evaded check-points or refused to pass the "aid" between a neutral middle-man? Name a country that would not act.

Sometimes it's hard for me to support Israel when I hear about the deaths they are responsible for. I am pro life. I am pro peace. But this is a country fighting for its survival, for our survival. This tiny country is surrounded by enemies and when the voices of the world get louder in condemnation of her actions, our support should get louder too.
