Malawian Cichlid Tank

Our 4ft, 200l Malawian Cichlid tank.
It is our third month with the community tank.
Currently there are 19 fish and over 25kgs of rock.

The yellow pair with blueish markings are Nimbochromis venustus,
their lips are getting very thick.

The blotchy orange guys are
Orange-blotch fuelleborni

The menacing one with sharp features and the Mafioso attitude is Compressorcep.

The black and orange dude slinking around the back is placid little Milomos.

Greshake (grey with orange fin) is swimming out of the frame. He is the biggest and acts it too.

Peacock is in the front of this fishy formation in the pic on the left.

All of them are getting along well and are less aggressive than the many internet warnings led me to believe they would be. Some dig a hellava lot, like the red zebra who has managed to change the landscape significantly, single handed. Others like to just hang about in the caves, like elongatus, seen blurry somewhere at the back. While many are territorial, or at least display tendencies, they are more playful with one another than really threatening. Except for that one time when they were picking apart a dead fish at the bottom of the tank... that was pretty disturbing.

The ph levels are about 8 and we currently do a weekly water change of approximately 10 litres.
