A new tradition?

This year we did Rosh Hashannah second night dinner at the cousins. Sandra and I arranged a simple meal that the kids could eat and set an early start time so that kids and adults could eat together. We did the brachot (prayers) at the table and probably even managed to sit there all together for about 5 minutes. Then the dads went to play with the kids while the moms ate dinner and chatted, after which we switched so the guys could eat while the moms ran around trying to feed roast chicken and peas to the little ones. Tea and cake were served in the playroom and we were home by 7:30! Perfect!

Apologies to my dear sister-in-law: you were obviously too busy running around with chicken, being a wonderful host and picking up squished playdough to make it into any of the pics! xx
