It sure is cute when Baby makes those sounds, but would probably be a bit strange if Mom and Dad communicated in the same way, even if it does "stimulate sound production". We'd sound like the Beavis and Butthead gang or something.

Babbling boy
Son is 6 months old today. I have read that by 6 months, Baby can produce many sounds and, in order to stimulate their sound production, parents should 'dialogue' with Baby. So when he babbles, you imitate what he just "said". This got me thinking about how it might be if we imitated Son's colourful pallet of sounds all day...
