Ilan told me about the News 24 blog-off and I decided to add my little blog to the long list of hopefuls. I wandered through the list of cyber-competitors, popping in for perusals, reading recent posts and in some cases reading comments and delving into the archives. I was in a very impressive neighbourhood, one where ramblings and occasional insights are built and laid out with style and post-modern wit. Surrounded by cyber-spaces of every size and shade, built by proficient architects of sentence structure and hyperlinks, this young ‘girl in the world’ felt out of her depth… but in excellent company. The winners have been announced and needless to say, I was not among them.
