A friendly November weekend

It was so lovely having one of my oldest friends come stay this weekend. It means a lot to me that she made the effort to book a flight and step out of her comfort zone for a few days just to experience mine.

For a single party girl she coped remarkably well as I schlepped her along on all of my motherly missions, from Son's swimming lesson to the youth service at shul on Shabbat morning, all to the soundtrack of that irritating purple dinosaur that Son has come to insist on listening to each time he rides in the car.

Son fell for Ruth (Roofie) right from the start and thoroughly enjoyed burying her feet in the sand at Granny's beach house and swinging alongside her at the Art's Cafe park. I just enjoyed having her around!

Come again soon Roofie xxx
