Woman turns to crime after home entertainment purchase goes wrong...

I’m waiting for Rosetta, the store manager at Musica gateway, to get back to me. She's now the third person there to whom I have explained the story:
We bought Heroes, Season 1 Part 1, from them. The only option at that stage was to buy it in 2 parts- we didn’t know then that no Musica store would ever be able to sell us the second part.
Obviously keen to complete the series, we finally ordered the second part from Amazon. Joy of joy: It arrived yesterday. But, when the re-cap began, we quickly realized there was a large chunk of the story we had missed. S'trues bob, who ever he is, closer investigation revealed we had disks 1,2,3 (on part 1) and 5,6,7 (on part 2) - no disk 4.

Where is the missing disk? Where? Was it supposed to be included in part 1 or part 2? Part 2 has 12 episodes on 3 disks and states that clearly on the back. However the part 1 set, which doesn’t say anywhere on the box how many disks or episodes there should be, only has 8 episodes. It seems obvious that part 1 is missing the crucial episodes 9, 10 and 11.

The phone rings and I’m certain it’s Rosetta but in fact it is a woman who calls herself Jennifer. Jennifer is calling from Nu metro in response to my e-mail outlining the above.

She says they sell part 1 with 3 disks and part 2 with 4 disks. Amazon says they sell part 1 with 4 disks. How can the same 7 disk series be separated in to two different parts and customers not be warned?

Why has no one else had this problem when part 2 is not available at any of the music/dvd stores we checked in Durban or the country for that matter, except one store in Johannesburg?

Next time, to avoid clicking through online junk heaps to find how a series is supposed to have come and who to complain to when it doesn’t come that way, I’ll just be clicking “download torrent”.
