Today I filmed a rat named Fred eating peanut butter. Also filmed silkworm moths mating and a rain spider which bit into a silkworm moth and scurried off into the garden.
I used Michael’s Sony Z1 HDV camera which I’m slowly getting a hang of. That weekend spent filming the fish tank, monkeys in trees, Robbie doing tricks with Dreadlock and some ticks, really helped. My understanding of things like gain and white balance have improved a bit and I now know that I couldn't find focus on my close up shot of the ticks that we took off Dread because the camera can’t focus on things that are too close. Like, obviously.
I’ve still got a long way to go but hopefully soon I’ll be learning on my very own camera…
